1.      Basic concepts of tens & units
2.      What comes before & after, e.g., 18 19 20
3.      Comparison of three or more than three objects, e.g., small – smaller – smallest
4.      Recognition and writing numbers up to 50
5.      Writing numbers names (spellings) up to 20
6.      Addition of two digits sum up to 18
7.      Subtraction of single digits up to 9
8.      Identification of shapes: circle, triangle, square, rectangle and oval
English:
1.      Word Level Work: Phonological Awareness, Phonics and Spelling:-
a.      Knowledge of graphemes/phonemes correspondence through:
                                                    i.     Identifying and writing initial and final phonemes in (cvc) words, e.g., f i t, m a t, p a n
b.      Knowledge of sound and spelling patterns by:
                                                    i.     Using knowledge of rhyme to identify families of rhyming cvc words, e.g., hop, top, mop; fat, mat, pat, etc.
2.      Sentence Level Work: Grammar and Punctuation:-
a.      To use a capital letter for the start of own name
b.      To use capital letters in the beginning of a sentence; and to end it with a full stop.
3.      Letter-names/recognition and their sequence (capital and small letters)
4.      Phonological awareness (to sound words/letters and read them)
5.      Vowels and their sounds
6.      Formation and reading of three letter words
7.      Understanding instructions (oral question and answer techniques)
